Paget's disease of the nipple – Nipple reconstruction
In patients with Paget’s disease of the nipple treated with breast-conserving surgery with removal of the nipple/areolar complex, offer nipple reconstruction, based on the individual patient’s preferences.
Cosmetic repair should be offered to patients with Paget’s disease treated with breast-conserving surgery (Strong recommendation based on low or very low level evidence)
The desirable effects of an intervention clearly outweigh the undesirable effects (the intervention is to be put into practice), or the undesirable effects of an intervention clearly outweigh the desirable effects (the intervention is not to be put into practice)

This recommendation was adopted from the KCE 2013 guidelines (Belgium). The source recommendation was based on a systematic review of the evidence conducted to January 2010 and was graded ‘strong’ (using GRADE methods) by the source guideline authors.
